“Calling artists who identify as or with Nasty Women.”

Artists are now invited to enter the Second Annual Northern Arizona Nasty Women Art Exhibition (NAZNWAE 2.0), with proceeds benefitting nonprofits advancing the rights of women and girls: this year’s benefactors include Planned Parenthood Arizona, Inc.; One New Education; and World Bicycle Relief.

Last year, the NAZ Nasty Women Art Exhibition featured original multimedia art created and donated by over 100 artists from all around northern Arizona, the US, and the world, with the proceeds benefiting a local Charity advancing women’s issues, Victim Witness Services of Coconino County.  With donations and sales of original art, we were able to raise over $2000 to support this important program.

The Second Annual Northern Arizona Nasty Women Art Exhibition (NAZNWAE 2.0) will be the second Flagstaff installment of the worldwide Nasty Women Art Exhibition, uniting artists from N. AZ and every part of the globe in rolling group exhibitions to demonstrate solidarity among artists who identify as or with "Nasty Women" in the face of threats to roll back women’s rights, individual rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and immigrant rights. We view art as one method of resistance to such a roll back.

The NAZNWAE 2.0 of original multimedia art (e.g., paintings, photos, drawings, collage, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, poetry, creative writing, essays, video/film, dance, musical pieces, etc.) will be held March 1-3, 2018, at The Hive, 2 S. Beaver, Flagstaff, AZ, USA, and is curated by the members of TWWNAZ.

Submissions are open to anyone regardless of sex, gender, age, or affiliation, and will be approved as long as they are consistent with our mission and values.

We will host an opening and champagne reception with a silent auction for a select group of artwork on Thursday, March 1 from 6-10pm.

Submission details can be found on the NAZNWAE Website @ Submissions.
